The Yakima County Juvenile Justice Center is a medium-security jail located in Yakima, Washington. The Yakima County Sheriff’s Office is the agency that is overseeing the day to day operation of the Yakima County Juvenile Justice Center.

Sending a Mail/Care Package

When an inmate is in the Yakima County Juvenile Justice Center, you can send them letters. These letters cannot contain many things.

Keep in mind if you start having too many infractions while sending an inmate's mail, you may lose the privilege of sending them letters in the future. You will want to refrain from sending anything that is NOT allowed or permitted in the Yakima County Juvenile Justice Center.

Sending Money

All money orders must be sent using the United States Postal Service. Any money orders that is sent using other carriers will not be accepted.

Please have the inmate’s name and their identification number on the money order as well.

Please do not bring the money order to the facility. ALL funds will ONLY be accepted through the United States Postal Service.

Phone calls

Inmates will have two options when they decide to call home. They can either use the standard collect calls or they can go through Global Tel Link and choose a plan from them.

The options will each have their pros and cons.

Visitation

If you would like to visit an inmate in the Yakima County Juvenile Justice Center, you will need to create a visitor account first.

When you create a visitor's account, you will be prompted to complete the application. You will need to wait until the application is approved.
