The Spokane County Jail is a medium-security jail located in Spokane, Washington. The Spokane County Sheriff’s Office is the agency that is overseeing the day to day operation of the Spokane County Jail.

The Spokane County Jail mainly has residents of Spokane County, but on the rare occasion will take in inmates from other counties and even from the United States Marshals Service.

The Spokane County Jail provides its inmates housing and cares for nearly 850 male inmates. These inmates will either be at a minimum or medium-security level.

The Spokane County Jail employs over 250 correctional officers alongside another 25 administrative personnel.

The Spokane County Jail has a $32 million annual operating budget.

Sending a Mail/Care Package

When an inmate is in the Spokane County Jail, you can send them letters. These letters cannot contain many things.

Keep in mind if you start having too many infractions while sending an inmate's mail, you may lose the privilege of sending them letters in the future. You will want to refrain from sending anything that is NOT allowed or permitted in the Spokane County Jail.

Sending Money

All money orders must be sent using the United States Postal Service. Any money orders that is sent using other carriers will not be accepted.

Please have the inmate’s name and their identification number on the money order as well.

Please do not bring the money order to the facility. ALL funds will ONLY be accepted through the United States Postal Service.

Phone calls

Inmates will have two options when they decide to call home. They can either use the standard collect calls or they can go through Global Tel Link and choose a plan from them.

The options will each have their pros and cons.

Visitation

If you would like to visit an inmate in the Spokane County Jail, you will need to create a visitor account first.

When you create a visitor's account, you will be prompted to complete the application. You will need to wait until the application is approved.
