While inmates are in the Texas Youth Commission, they will be permitted to receive letters, photos, and other items from you.
If you would like to send a care package, you will be permitted to do so, but there is one small condition. You will be REQUIRED to use Access SecurePak. You will NOT be permitted to send a care package directly from your home. You will need to use the following third-party site.
Sending Money
Inmates in the Texas Youth Commission will need money to purchase various items from the commissary. The commissary is the prison store where inmates can purchase extra items that the facility does not give them.
Inmates will also need money for their phone account as well, so they can call home.
You can deposit money into an inmate's account by using JPay. JPay will allow you to deposit money using your credit and debit card. JPay does not accept cash payments.
Phone calls
The Texas Youth Commission contracts with Securus Technologies. Securus Technologies is the company that you will need to make an account with. When making account, you will have the ability to ensure that the inmate will always have money on their phone account, so they can always call home.
Visitation
You will be permitted to come down to the Texas Youth Commission between the hours of 9 am to 3:45 pm on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. You will not be permitted to come down to the Texas Youth Commission after 2:45 pm. No new visitors will be permitted on-site.
