The Fort Bend County Jail recognizes that inmates need a solid support system on the outside. So, when they get off the facility, they have a great support system to come home to, so they will likely not offend in the future.
Therefore, the Fort Bend County Jail allows inmates to use the telephones daily. The only time they cannot use the telephones during the facilities count time or when the facility is under lockdown.
Inmates will be permitted to make collect calls home. These calls can last up to 15-minutes in length.
Visitation
If you are local to the Fort Bend County Jail, you will be happy to know that the facility allows inmates to have visitors’ weekdays, Monday through Friday between the hours of 9 am up until 6 pm.
Now, these visits will be heavily monitored. There is no such thing as privacy when visiting an inmate in the Fort Bend County Jail.
Just like other county jails throughout the United States, you will be sitting behind a glass partition, so you will not have the chance to hug, kiss, or hold hands with the inmate. You will only be able to merely see them through the glass.
