The Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center is the facility that will take inmates who have just been arrested throughout the county as well as inmates who are currently going through their trial, and lastly inmates who have already been sentenced.

You can bring down a money order to the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center with the inmate’s name on it and they will be able to deposit it there for you. The funds should be officially deposited into the inmate’s account within a day or two.

Phone calls

The Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center recognizes that inmates need a solid support system on the outside. So, when they get off the facility, they have a great support system to come home to, so they will likely not offend in the future.

Therefore, the Mahoning County Juvenile Justice Center allows inmates to use the telephones daily. The only time they cannot use the telephones during the facilities count time or when the facility is under lockdown.

Inmates will be permitted to make collect calls home. These calls can last up to 15-minutes in length.

Visitation

Just like other county jails throughout the United States, you will be sitting behind a glass partition, so you will not have the chance to hug, kiss, or hold hands with the inmate. You will only be able to merely see them through the glass.
