About Strafford County House of Corrections

The original Strafford County House of Corrections was built back in the 1850s. The original Strafford County House of Corrections has now been made into a museum.
They have built a newer facility that has all the bells and whistles. The new Strafford County House of Corrections went to replace the original Strafford County House of Corrections was burnt to the ground.

Sending Money
If you need to put money into the inmates account at the Strafford County House of Corrections, you can stop by the facility lobby with a money order. The money order will then be added to the inmate’s accounts within a few business days.
If you do not live near the Strafford County House of Corrections, you can send a check or a money order to the facility and they can then add the funds to the inmate’s account. You need to ensure the inmate’s name is on the funds you are sending.

Phone calls
When an inmate is first brought into the Strafford County House of Corrections, they will have to fill out a phone call approval list. This list will allow them to contact you while they are in the Strafford County House of Corrections.
