The Bridgeport Jail is just like any other county facility, but on a smaller level.

Sending a Mail/Care Package

Inmates will have the freedom to correspond with as many people as he or she wishes. The only condition to this is that an inmate in the Bridgeport Jail will NEVER be allowed to talk to someone who is also in a correctional facility.

If you are not in a correctional facility yourself, you will be granted permission to send and receive as many letters from the inmate.

All letters are examined and read prior to being sent out or given to an inmate in the facility.

Sending Money

The Bridgeport Jail has a canteen. A canteen is like a store for the inmate where they can purchase a few products where he or she can use to make their life behind bars a little bit more bearable.

With he or she will need some money on their books to be able to get these products from the canteen.

Please make sure that you send or drop off money orders for these inmates.
